Volunteer with Penumbra Mental Health!
The big question is, could you volunteer with Penumbra Mental Health?
At Penumbra Mental Health, we support people on their journey to better mental health. Across Aberdeenshire, we’ve just launched an exciting new support service. And we’re looking for people aged 18 and over to join us as Peer Volunteers!
What does the service aim to do? We know that everyone’s mental health journey is unique, so our service is all about working with each person to find their own way forward. We know that people with lived experience will always make the difference. That’s why a really important part of our service is developing networks of Peer Volunteers who can play a meaningful role in people’s mental health journeys.
What about the volunteering role? Our Peer Volunteers will use insight from their own experience of living with or managing a mental health issue to support other people on their journey. As a Peer Volunteer, you’ll be a part of our network of peers who can be a vital link to the community for people accessing our service. You’ll inspire hope that recovery is possible, because you’ve been there.
What about training and team support? We’ll provide all training and you’ll join our friendly, supportive and inclusive team. All we ask for is your time, kindness and compassion!
We are Penumbra Mental Health, a pioneering charity supporting people on their journey to better mental health. The power of people’s lived experience enables us to provide pioneering services that transform lives.
So you’ve got this far..…if you want to inspire and be inspired, drop me a line to find out more. Good luck!
