Kristopher's life changing #CycleForPenumbra

My name is Kristopher, I’m 20 years old, and born and raised in the granite city. I am attempting to cycle the distance of Britain (874 miles) in 15 days to raise money for the mental health charity, Penumbra. Also to raise awareness to the subject of mental health as a whole.

My mental health has always been something I’ve struggled with ever since I was young but it has came to be extremely challenging for me the past five years. I have a diagnosed borderline personality disorder. This makes most days difficult for me to get through smoothly. After many failed attempts with medication and different talking services, I was referred to Penumbra when I was at one of the lowest times in my life.

The differences using Penumbra’s services have made for me, not many other services I’ve used have hit home like they did.

I was referred to Penumbra by the police at the beginning of this year after a failed suicide attempt when I had zero motivation to even try and improve my life.

Let me just say the differences using Penumbra’s services have made for me, not many other services I’ve used have hit home like they did. So I want to give something back to them.

Any donation no matter how big or small is extremely appreciated towards the goal. If you have a spare minute please share this.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for your epic fundraiser.
