Safe Plan Tool
A safe plan is a document that contains information about how to help you stay safe when you are distressed. This plan is about you. It contains information about what you need and how you would like to get support from other people.
The safe plan is broken down into sections to make it more manageable. You do not have to fill out the safe plan all at once. You can fill out one section at a time and come back to it again later. It is best to fill out this plan when you are feeling calm and are able to reflect on times when you have felt distressed. If you feel comfortable, the safe plan can also be shared with trusted people around you who can help you to stay safe.
Use the boxes below to fill out your safe plan. You can download them once you are finished by clicking the GENERATE PDF OR SEND IT BY EMAIL button at the bottom of the page. You can then keep your safe plan or share with others that you rust to help keep you safe.
